Sixty minutes. Two small IV lines. A closed, sterile loop running beside your chair while you sit back and let it work. Then the lines come out, you stand up, and you drive yourself home.
That is the whole procedure. What makes it interesting is not the hour itself — it is what the circuit is doing during it, and why the continuous version of this therapy is a different proposition from the ozone treatments most people have heard of.
Here is a clear look at how EBOO works at EBOO Prime in Lafayette, Louisiana, what the session is like from the chair, and how to find out whether you are a candidate.
Continuous, Not Single-Pass — and Why That Matters
EBOO stands for Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation. A small volume of your blood is drawn, passed through a closed sterile system where it is filtered, oxygenated and infused with medical-grade ozone, then returned to you — all in real time, without interruption, for the length of the session.
Compare that with the ozone therapies most people encounter first. Major Autohemotherapy draws a single quantity of blood, treats it in a bag, and gives it back. Ten-pass repeats that cycle in batches. Both work in discrete rounds, and both are limited by how much blood can sit outside the body at once.
EBOO does not batch anything. Using a dialysis-style filter, the circuit treats your blood as it flows, which means substantially more of it passes through the system across the hour. The result is more thorough filtration and higher oxygenation than a single-pass approach can reach in the same window.
It is the difference between rinsing a container once and running clean water through it continuously. Same principle, very different throughput.

The Equipment Is Not a Detail
There is a wide range of quality in this field, and the machine matters more than most patients realise.
EBOO Prime runs on Trigen-manufactured systems — the original gold-standard equipment for this procedure, and the benchmark others are measured against. Every filter in the circuit is single-use and sterile, included in the cost of your session, and never reused.
Our nursing team is trained and credentialed at our U.S. medical center, and our protocols meet international standards for ozone-therapy safety. If you are comparing providers, those are the specifics worth asking any of them about.
Your Session, Step by Step
Settle in. You arrive, change into something comfortable, and sit back in a treatment chair. A nurse places two small IV lines — one to draw, one to return. Two needle sticks, and that is the extent of the discomfort most people report.
Filter and oxygenate. Your blood circulates through the EBOO Prime™ system, where it is filtered, oxygenated and infused with medical ozone in a continuous closed-loop circuit. You can read, scroll, talk to the nurse, or simply close your eyes. Most patients describe the hour as relaxing — not unlike a long IV.
Return. Clean, oxygenated blood flows back in through the second line. The cycle runs without pause for the duration of the session, with a nurse present the entire time.
Walk out. Sixty minutes later the lines come out and you are done. No anaesthesia, no downtime, no recovery room. The majority of our patients drive themselves home and carry on with their day.
What People Notice
Timing varies. Some people feel a lift the same afternoon. Others describe it building over the following days. Across our patients, these are the reports that come up most:
- More usable energy. Not a jolt — the steadier kind, the sort that makes an afternoon feel manageable again.
- Lifting brain fog. Frequently mentioned by patients who came in specifically because their thinking had felt cloudy for months.
- Better circulation. Warmer hands and feet, often noticed within the first day or two.
- Improved sleep quality. Deeper and less broken, commonly reported after the first few sessions.
- Faster physical recovery. A major reason athletes and physically demanding workers build EBOO into their training cycles.
- A sense of having been reset. Difficult to measure, described often enough that it is worth naming.
Everyone responds differently, which is exactly why the consultation comes first and why we talk about a plan rather than a single appointment.
Who Comes to Us
Most of our patients arrive with chronic, inflammatory or post-viral pictures where conventional care has stalled and they are looking for another avenue. Commonly:
- Long COVID and post-viral fatigue
- Autoimmune conditions, including Hashimoto’s, lupus and rheumatoid arthritis
- Chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia
- Lyme disease and co-infections
- Mold and environmental toxicity
- Persistent brain fog and chronic inflammation
- Athletic recovery and peak performance
- General cellular oxygenation and longevity optimisation
To be clear about what that list is: these are the reasons people come through our door, not a set of conditions EBOO claims to resolve. EBOO is not a cure, and your treating physician remains in charge of managing anything you have been diagnosed with. What we can do is have an honest conversation about whether this is likely to help you.
Doctor and Nurse Led, Every Single Session
This is the part we will not flex on.
Every session at EBOO Prime is administered by a Registered Nurse and performed under the direct supervision of a medical doctor. Not a technician with a weekend certification. Not a physician reachable by phone.
If something feels off partway through your hour, the doctor on duty is in the building. That single fact is the clearest line between a properly run EBOO clinic and one you should walk out of.
Watch a Session From Start to Finish
If you would rather see it than read about it, we have recorded a full session — the lines going in, the circuit running, the pace of the hour, and a patient describing what it feels like as it happens.
It answers most of the questions people arrive with, and it tends to settle the nerves of anyone who is not fond of needles.
Who Is Not a Candidate
A clinical consultation is required before any session, and part of its purpose is ruling people out. EBOO is not appropriate for anyone with:
- Active internal bleeding, or a bleeding or clotting disorder
- Severe anaemia or low blood volume
- Uncontrolled cardiac arrhythmias, or a recent heart attack or stroke
- Pregnancy
- G6PD deficiency, where the body processes oxidative stress differently
- Ongoing anticoagulant therapy, since the circuit itself requires anticoagulation
- Active infection or sepsis
This list is not exhaustive and eligibility is assessed individually through medical history, medication review and blood work. If we do not think EBOO will help you, we will say so — which is not the answer everyone expects from a clinic, and is exactly why our consultations are free.
Getting Ready, and What to Do Afterwards
There is not much preparation involved, but a few things make the hour more comfortable and the days afterwards more productive.
Before. Eat a proper meal beforehand rather than arriving on an empty stomach, and drink plenty of water the day before — well-hydrated veins make the IV placement quicker and easier. Bring a list of anything you take regularly, including supplements, and wear something with sleeves that move easily above the elbow.
After. Keep drinking water, eat well, and give yourself an unhurried evening rather than scheduling anything demanding. Some patients feel energised straight away and some feel pleasantly tired — both are normal, and neither tells you much about how the following days will go. Light movement the next day, a walk rather than a heavy training session, is what most people find works best.
If anything feels unusual in the days afterwards, call us. We would far rather hear from you than have you wonder about it.
How Many Sessions, and What It Costs
Most patients complete three to six sessions. Some notice a difference after one. Your physician will recommend a plan based on your goals and, more importantly, on how you actually respond to the first session.
We publish our pricing because we think you should be able to see it before you pick up the phone.
- EBOO Prime™ session — $1,399. Continuous filtration, oxygenation and ozonation through the closed-loop EBOO Prime™ system, all single-use sterile filters included, registered nurse administration and on-site physician oversight.
- EBOO Safe™ session — $1,599. Everything in Prime, plus an additional filtration stage, enhanced monitoring and extended session support. Recommended for specific patient profiles — we will tell you at consultation if it is the better fit for you.
